Commercial Energy Audit
Program Description
Oncor's Commercial Energy Audit Program provides a detailed energy audit of a facility to identify areas for potential energy efficiency improvements. Upon completion of the audit, participants will receive a report detailing the quantifiable opportunities for energy cost savings. The Program will assist participants in identifying other Oncor programs that may be able to provide incentives to help them implement the recommended energy efficiency measures.
Oncor offers the energy audits to the following groups of customers at no cost:
- Commercial (with maximum monthly peak demand less than or equal to 250 kW for each of the preceding 12 months)
- Governmental (including state, county, and city facilities)
- Nonprofit
- Public education
Commercial customers that are not classified as governmental, nonprofit, or public education and whose highest monthly demand is above 250 kW will be responsible for contributing 50 percent of the total cost for an audit according to the following schedule:
| Facility floor area |
Cost to Customer |
less than or equal to
250,000 sq ft |
$3,175 |
greater than
250,000 sq ft |
$4,000 |
