Nonprofit Facility Matching Grant
Program Description
Oncor's Nonprofit Facility Matching Grant Program is designed to assist nonprofit organizations with improving the energy efficiency of their facilities by providing matching grant dollars for the implementation of electric energy efficiency projects.
A total of $2.1 million in matching grant funding will be made available to nonprofit facilities and faith-based organizations through 2012 for the installation of electric energy efficiency upgrades to their facilities located inside the Oncor service area. Only one (1) matching grant will be awarded per facility per year, up to 50% of the total project cost, but not to exceed $100,000. Funds will be distributed to approved, completed projects that meet the Program’s requirements on a first come, first served basis. Matching grant funds can be used to pay for the direct purchase and installation of approved energy efficiency and/or qualified renewable energy upgrade(s).
Grant applications will be judged on a number of criteria, including financial need, speed with which the project will be completed, amount of energy that will be saved, cost-effectiveness, and the technologies that will be used. Please see the Program Guidelines and Application and the Program Manual for additional program details.
