Schools
We offer a variety of energy efficiency programs for schools that receive service from Oncor. These programs are specifically designed to help:
- Reduce monthly energy consumption and costs
- Reduce energy demand during the state's summer on-peak period
Through these programs, Oncor provides incentives directly to facilities that implement energy saving projects. Incentives are also available through Energy Efficiency Service Providers who implement the energy-saving projects for the governments and schools.
Programs Available
LivingWise® Program – The LivingWise® Program is designed to educate 6th grade students about using water and energy resources wisely. This flexible and turnkey program provides educators with teacher education materials, lesson plans, activity books, and other engaging activities that can be used inside and outside the classroom.
School Matching Grant Program – The School Matching Grant Program is designed to assist public and charter schools in need of making energy efficiency improvements or upgrades to a building through a matching grant.
